Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a highly skilled mechanical maintenance professional for our Henderson mine and mill operations in Colorado.

The role focuses on maximizing efficiency across pumps, conveyors, and related equipment, while ensuring safe production and strict adherence to MSHA/OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in mechanical/maintenance trades, with welding proficiency and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and pass a safety-focused written assessment where required.
• FPM Diagnostic Mechanic II: 75% FLEX score and basic welding proficiency.
• HEM Diagnostic Mechanic II: CAT-U courses or passed out with HEM FLEX.
• Shovel/Drill Diagnostic Mechanic II: CAT-U courses or Flex Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities with increased complexity.
• Complete Work Orders, order parts, and other maintenance documentation.
• Repair, install, fabricate, rebuild, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on process equipment (pumps, conveyors, dryers, gearboxes, filters).
• Operate cranes and rigging safely; follow MSHA/OSHA rules and SOPs; participate in safety/environmental activities.
