Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan seeks a qualified mechanical maintenance professional to perform routine and complex maintenance on ore processing equipment at our Morenci operation. You will repair, install, fabricate and troubleshoot pumps, conveyors, dryers, gearboxes, and related systems, while ensuring safety and equipment reliability.

Candidates should have four years of mechanical maintenance experience, strong welding skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years’ experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and pass required assessments/tests.
• FPM Diagnostic Mechanic II requires proficient welding skills (75% FLEX score).
• HEM Diagnostic Mechanic II requires CAT-Uortested progress with FLEX assessment.
• Shovel/Drill Diagnostic Mechanic II requires completed courses and FLEX assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance with increasing complexity.
• Submit Work Orders, order parts, and maintain maintenance documentation.
• Repair, install, fabricate, rebuild, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on process equipment; lubricate equipment.
