Job summary

WVU Medicine Harrison Community Hospital is seeking an imaging professional to manage equipment including x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and mammography. The role follows radiologist protocols and ensures high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients.

You will educate patients, position them for procedures, maintain safety, and perform daily QA with thorough documentation. Collaboration and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current radiography license as required by the state where services will be provided.
• Incumbents must be certified in three of the listed ARRT/ARMRIT/NMTCB certifications.
• Certification in BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Three years of imaging experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the operation of x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and/or mammography equipment.
• Perform various diagnostic imaging procedures ordered by the physician/care provider and in accordance with the radiologist protocols.
• Educates patient regarding procedures by explaining the procedure and answering questions accordingly.
• Position and prepares patient for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Perform Daily QA procedures on all equipment.
• Completes appropriate documentation for every procedure when appropriate either on paper or in the computer system.
• Employs appropriate safety techniques for all patients and associates.
• Utilizes all communication devices as necessary to perform appropriate patient care.
