Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Must possess current Radiography License as required by state board where services will be provided.
• National ARRT certification required within time of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• State and federal background checks as required for regulated areas.

Responsibilities

• Rotates in all Diagnostic areas for development of technical skills (Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, OR, Endoscopy, Orthopedics).
• Performs imaging procedures based on patient status, service request, and imaging protocols.
• Produces high-quality images while using equipment and archiving systems.
• Selects exposure factors based on patient size to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Maintains anatomy, physiology, and pathology knowledge relative to imaging to ensure patient safety and care.
• Educates patients about radiographic procedures and answers questions.
