Job summary

WVU Medicine Berkeley and Jefferson Medical Centers are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging and patient care across Diagnostic areas, with emphasis on quality, safety, and patient comfort. The role requires a radiography license for the respective state and ARRT certification upon hire.

The position involves rotating through multiple imaging subspecialties, educating patients, and upholding department policies and ethics while ensuring efficient workflow within the Radiology

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Imaging Program.
• Must possess current Radiography License as required by state board where services will be provided.
• National certification (ARRT) as defined by location; ARRT registration upon hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; background checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Rotates in all Diagnostic areas to develop technical skills (Fluoro, Mobiles, Routine, OR, Endoscopy, Orthopedics).
• Performs imaging procedures based on patient status and service requests; monitored by evaluations.
• Produces high-quality images with proper exposure factors to minimize radiation exposure.
• Educates patients about procedures and reasoning; supports team in delivering Radiology services.
• Maintains safety standards and complies with ARRT ethics and department policies.
• Assists in workflow coordination and supervision of radiology students as assigned.
