UR Medicine Thompson Health is seeking a part-time, on-site Diagnostic Imaging Scheduling Coordinator in Canandaigua, NY. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of previous customer service experience required.
• Secretarial experience with strong organizational skills required.
• Medical terminology preferred.

Responsabilités

• The Scheduling Coordinator must have in-depth knowledge of all procedures performed within the DI dept. and understand the complex scheduling issues involved.
• Maintains schedules, in CWS, of all resources required for the various interventional procedures, including interventional radiologist, nurse, technologist, modality, supplies and equipment.
• Serves as a liaison between the referring physician, interventional radiologist and the patient.
• Ensures all procedures are scheduled appropriately, pre-procedure testing completed, and pre-authorization obtained as determined by health insurance coverage.
• Obtains scripts for all outpatient procedures, verifying accuracy of request and confirming compliance.
• Demonstrates skills in communication and prioritizing of assignments.
• Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with all system departments, medical staff, and other health care professionals at Thompson Health.
• Exhibits time management, keyboarding and multi-tasking skills to maintain efficient department operations.
• Makes every effort to satisfy customers in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
