Job summary

Geisinger is seeking Radiologic Technologists to perform a full scope of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety and data accuracy. You will prepare, document, and assist with procedures under licensed practitioners, while maintaining strict ALARA standards and regulatory compliance.

New graduates must obtain ARRT-R within 6 months of hire, with pathways to level 2 within 24 months for those hired after March 10, 2024.

Qualifications

• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire.
• Applicants hired after 10 Mar 2024 must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 within 24 months.
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required), Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and that clinical history is corroborated and appropriately documented while respecting confidentiality.
• Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety, optimizing patient care, and applying ALARA principles.
• Preparing and/or administering medications through vascular access site as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality and verifies archival storage and/or transfer of data.
• Educating and monitoring students and other health care providers.
• Assisting the licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.
• Performing diagnostic radiographic and noninterpretive fluoroscopic procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, including in Operating room, Endoscopy, ICU, etc.
