Rethink Electric is seeking an experienced DG Solar Estimator and Scheduler to support our growing solar construction business. This role prepares detailed estimates and develops practical construction schedules for commercial rooftop and small ground-mounted DG solar projects.

You will work closely with project management, procurement, and field leadership to ensure properly planned and resourced projects.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of solar estimating and construction scheduling experience.
• Experience with rooftop DG solar and small ground-mounted solar projects.
• Must reside in Chicagoland and be able to work from Wood Dale office and visit sites.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, site plans, and project specs.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with estimating and scheduling tools.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed project estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings and site conditions to identify gaps and risks.
• Develop labor budgets by activity and project conditions.
• Create baseline schedules covering preconstruction to energization.
• Coordinate with procurement for materials, pricing, and lead times.
• Lead estimate handoffs and support change orders.
• Update schedules with field progress and identify critical path impacts.
• Communicate risks and constraints to project teams.
