Job summary

SG Inc. is seeking a Solar Electrical Estimator to join our high-performance estimating team.

You will evaluate project drawings, SLDs, and geotechnical reports to prepare detailed takeoff packages across DC, AC, and Medium Voltage systems, contributing to profitable bids in the renewables sector. Ideal candidates have strong cost estimating skills for solar and MV, experience with NEC/NESC, and proficiency in Accubid or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Solar & MV estimating, cost control, and market trends to secure profitable bids.
• Strong NEC/utility standards knowledge (690, 691, 705) and NESC.
• DC string design, inverter/skids, and MV interfaces understanding.
• Accurate calculations of cable pulls, voltage drop, trenching quantities.
• Experience with estimating software and BIM takeoff tools.
• Ability to train and mentor junior estimators.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate drawings, SLDs, and geotechnical reports to prepare detailed takeoffs for DC, AC, and MV systems.
• Support winning bids in an EPC environment with attention to accuracy and logistics.
