Job summary

Conduit Power is seeking a Lead Project Developer to drive early-stage development of distributed generation assets. You will lead site identification, permitting, interconnection, and commercial workstreams toward a FID and financeable, construction-ready state.

You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage schedules, and maintain rigorous documentation to support investment approvals and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Energy Systems, Real Estate, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in power project development or large-scale project management.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams across land, permitting, interconnection, and commercial workstreams.
• Familiarity with utility interconnection processes and permitting requirements for energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of distributed generation projects from early site identification through FID.
• Develop scheduling, milestones, and risk registers across projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including development, engineering, environmental, legal, finance, and commercial.
• Ensure projects advance through site control, permitting, interconnection, and FID readiness.
• Maintain project documentation to support investment approvals and decision-making.
• Lead site diligence including zoning, access rights, and land-related constraints.
• Coordinate land agreements (leases, purchases, easements) and track development constraints.
• Coordinate permitting strategies and environmental studies with consultants.
• Support stakeholder engagements with landowners, utilities, and authorities.
