Job summary

Conduit Power is seeking a Lead Development Strategy Associate to manage land development workstreams for siting distributed generation and battery storage projects. You will drive site control, diligence, and cross-functional coordination from site identification through construction readiness.

You will negotiate land agreements, oversee zoning and permitting, and engage landowners and stakeholders to maintain development momentum in a fast-paced energy environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5–10+ years in land acquisition, land development, or real estate.
  • Experience with infrastructure, energy, utility, or industrial projects preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate sites for distributed generation and energy storage.
  • Lead negotiations and execution of land agreements (leases, options, easements, purchase).
  • Coordinate diligence including zoning, encumbrances, and development feasibility.
  • Align land strategies with interconnection opportunities and milestones.
  • Manage land-related workstreams from site control through construction readiness.
  • Coordinate surveys, environmental studies, and engineering site assessments.
  • Track milestones, permitting dependencies, and gating decisions.
  • Maintain documentation and support project approvals.
  • Engage landowners, brokers, municipalities, and local stakeholders.
  • Provide land inputs for viability assessments and prioritization.
