Job summary

Saber Power Services, based in Houston, TX, seeks a Team Lead for Project Development to guide a multidisciplinary team through early-stage engineering, scope definition, and preconstruction deliverables. You will align with estimating, procurement, and execution groups to improve proposal quality and delivery accuracy.

The role emphasizes conceptual engineering, risk assessment, and standards enforcement, with mentoring to grow technical capabilities across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Typically 7+ years of progressively responsible engineering experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of design, constructability, estimating, procurement, and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary project development team responsible for conceptual engineering and preconstruction deliverables.
• Plan team workload, establish priorities, and ensure timely completion of development activities.
• Oversee development of conceptual designs, BOMs, specs, data sheets, and other deliverables for estimating and procurement.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are technically accurate and buildable.
• Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, Procurement, Engineering, and Project Management to define project scopes.
• Identify risks, gaps, and uncertainties affecting cost or schedule.
• Promote standard engineering templates and digital workflows.
• Mentor engineers and designers for technical development and knowledge sharing.
• Capture lessons learned and improve platform standards.
• Support initiatives to improve processes and proposal quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
