Job summary

Quantum Systems is seeking an experienced DFR Application Engineer to strengthen our North America Commercial Sales Team. You will be the technical expert, guiding customers, channel partners, and internal teams from discovery through deployment of Drone First Responder solutions.

You will demonstrate products, run workshops, and help shape product requirements while collaborating with engineering and product teams. Travel across the US/Canada may be required in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in application/sales engineering or comparable customer-facing technical roles.
• Experience in UAV/UAS, public safety, defence, robotics, aerospace, or related tech industries is highly desirable.
• Strong ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with collaboration and product management tools such as Confluence and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical expert for DFR solutions; support customers, partners and internal teams.
• Engage with public safety agencies and commercial customers to gather operational needs.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities to show value.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to define requirements and roadmaps.
• Document requirements and feedback using Confluence/Jira; align development priorities.
• Support sales through technical presentations, RFP responses, and workshops.
• Train and enable reseller and integration partners to deploy Quantum Systems solutions.
• Assist with regulatory concepts, BVLOS, waivers, and Part 108 requirements.
