Job summary

Quantum Systems is seeking an experienced DFR Application Engineer to join our Commercial Sales Team in North America. You will bridge customers, partners and engineering to translate operational needs into mission-ready drone solutions, focusing on DronePort and Twister platforms for public safety and autonomous flight.

You will demonstrate products, run workshops, support deployments, document requirements, and help shape the product roadmap while traveling across the United States and Canada.

Qualifications

• Several years in Application/Solutions Engineering or comparable technical pre-sales roles.
• Experience in UAV/UAS or related aerospace/defense tech industries.
• Ability to translate customer needs into scalable, mission-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert for DFR solutions and engage customers, partners, and internal teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, proofs-of-concept, and flight testing.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define requirements and help shape the roadmap for DronePort, Twister, and DFR capabilities.
• Document requirements and feedback in Confluence/Jira; support RFP responses and proposals.
• Train and enable channel partners and resellers; support regulatory aspects including Part 107/ BVLOS concepts.
