Job summary

BRINC is seeking an Installer Technician to install hardware and software for our Drone as a First Responder (DFR) program. The role requires traveling to customer sites and Seattle Headquarters as needed, with a 75% travel commitment and hands-on installation duties.

The ideal candidate has experience with computer networks, mechanical assembly, electronics handling, and high/low voltage wiring, and can troubleshoot hardware and software in field settings. Seattle area preferred.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer knowledge and networking aptitude.
  • General working knowledge of electronics components, low and high voltage electrical wiring, and general knowledge of mechanics as it relates to hardware assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble products, following installation guidelines & manuals when appropriate.
  • Basic operational knowledge of MacOS, Windows or Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to independently book and manage all aspects of travel, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and itineraries.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites in varying weather conditions to assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain BRINC hardware and software.
  • Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, provide timely service, and address any issues or concerns during implementation.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to advocate for customer needs and drive product enhancements based on customer feedback.
  • Ensure installations comply with building codes & safety standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with our Law Enforcement / Public Safety customers to drive customer success and satisfaction.
