Ingredion Incorporated invites a motivated student to join the Process Engineering team as a Co-Op in the dextrose unit. You will partner with senior engineers to monitor processes, provide engineering support, implement improvements, and help meet safety, quality, production, and cost goals.

You will apply engineering concepts to real-world applications on the plant floor. The role emphasizes teamwork, proactive problem solving, and opportunity to work on projects up to $50k with engineering

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher preferred.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the term.
• Learn corn wet milling processes and corresponding systems and principles.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support to maintenance and operations via process studies, troubleshooting, optimization, and data maintenance to monitor key parameters.
• Assist with capital permits, projects, and engineering studies to support plant goals.
• Manage projects up to $50k with adherence to safety and engineering standards.
• Conduct process training and maintain project documentation after completion.
• Support plant safety initiatives in process design and improvement efforts.
• Monitor emerging technologies and propose concepts to improve efficiency and capability.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum GPA 3.0/4.0 preferred
