Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Quality Assurance Tester to join our DevSecOps practice. You will contribute to QA services across application, cloud, and data systems, requiring 3–5 years in QA and test automation within Agile environments.

You will write test plans, develop automated tests, and ensure secure deployments by integrating testing into CI/CD processes. Collaboration with design and dev teams is essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree in IT or related field, or equivalent IT experience.
• 3+ years of Git-based SCM experience (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
• 3+ years in QA/testing within Agile/DevSecOps environments.
• Experience with test automation tools and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Capture stakeholder needs and translate into testing requirements for developers.
• Meet with product design to define testing parameters and test plans.
• Write test plans, test cases, and QA reports; manage test data architecture.
• Develop automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure secure, compliant software delivery.
• Lead test automation infrastructure and provide guidance to juniors.
• Prepare validation tests for cloud migrations and data sets.
