Job summary

Steampunk is seeking an Associate Automated Test Engineer to join our DevSecOps practice. You will support QA for application, cloud, and data systems, emphasizing automated and manual testing in an Agile environment.

The role involves creating test plans, executing tests, and helping enhance test automation for Drupal-based platforms. Strong collaboration with developers and stakeholders is essential to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of QA/testing experience.
Experience with Behat, PHPUnit, Selenium, JMeter, Playwright, or similar tools.
Experience executing manual and automated test cases for web-based applications.
Understanding of functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing methodologies.
Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
Understanding of Drupal CMS and Drupal-based testing practices.

Responsibilities

Understand stakeholder requirements and collaborate with developers to support quality objectives.
Meet with product and development teams to determine testing parameters and acceptance criteria.
Write test plans, test cases, test procedures, bug reports, and QA reports.
Execute manual and automated test cases for web applications and platforms.
Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for Drupal-based web applications.
Perform functional, regression, integration, accessibility, and user acceptance testing.
Validate Drupal workflows, content publishing processes, user roles and permissions, and system integrations.
Troubleshoot defects and assist in identifying root causes.
Work with automated testing tools to improve coverage and efficiency.
Support DevSecOps testing activities and release processes.
