Job Description

The DevOps Platforms Leader is responsible for the strategy, governance, modernization, support, and enterprise adoption of the organization's DevOps platforms and software delivery ecosystem. This role provides leadership over the platforms, services, standards, and operational practices that enable secure, scalable, and efficient software delivery across the Digital Product Delivery, Digital Technology Services, and Data, Analytics & AI teams.

This position leads the evolution of enterprise DevOps capabilities including Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD platforms, release automation, source control, developer enablement tooling, application security integrations, quality engineering tooling, platform analytics, and related services. The role is accountable for ensuring these platforms are reliable, well-governed, cost-effective, scalable, and aligned with enterprise engineering, security, compliance, and delivery objectives.

This leader partners closely with Software Engineering, Quality Engineering, Security Operations, Application Security, Product Delivery teams, and platform consumers to define roadmaps, establish standards, improve developer experience, accelerate software delivery, and mature the enterprise's DevOps operating model. The role also drives continuous improvement through platform observability, adoption metrics, compliance reporting, automation, training, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defines and drives the DevSecOps strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives, while promoting a culture of fast, secure delivery, continuous feedback, and learning.
  • Designs and manages enterprise-grade DevSecOps platforms—including CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and automated testing—alongside infrastructure-as-code and configuration management for scalable, repeatable deployments.
  • Embeds security controls throughout the software delivery lifecycle, incorporating code analysis, vulnerability scanning, secret detection, and policy enforcement to ensure secure-by-default outcomes.
  • Oversees platform reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency through monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning across compute, storage, and orchestration layers. Leverages strong IT Service Management principles.
  • Implements robust governance practices including access controls, audit logging, compliance reporting, and secure credential management to meet regulatory and internal standards.
  • Continuously evaluates emerging DevSecOps tools and practices, fosters cross-functional collaboration and support business-aligned technology initiatives through budgeting and policy contributions.
Education And Experience
