Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a DecSecOps Engineer to integrate security into the SDLC and drive secure, scalable software delivery across cloud and hybrid environments. You will partner with development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to implement automation, code quality standards, and security controls.

The role emphasizes containerized deployments, platform modernization, and continuous improvement of DevSecOps capabilities to support government and commercial missions globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field with five or more years in DevSecOps/DevOps.
• Experience supporting CI/CD platforms and secure software delivery pipelines.
• Experience with cloud-based and containerized environments and collaboration with security teams.

Responsibilities

• Support secure CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Integrate security controls, vulnerability scanning, and code quality checks into workflows.
• Configure and support DevSecOps tools and platforms (source control, CI/CD, testing, security).
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and remediate security/quality issues.
• Assist with repository migrations, pipeline modernization, and platform enhancements.
• Support containerized deployments and cloud/hybrid platform engineering activities.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, reusable templates, and deployment standards.
• Monitor tooling, support upgrades, and ensure platform reliability and performance.
• Participate in Agile development and cross-functional collaboration to meet objectives.
• Promote secure coding practices and continuous improvement of DevSecOps maturity.
