Job summary

KBR is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain software delivery pipelines and deployment tooling for SSC. The role bridges development and operations to enable secure, repeatable software delivery across environments.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps with strong CI/CD, Kubernetes, Helm, and Git-based workflows, plus scripting skills. Hybrid work in El Segundo, CA is available with security and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• 8+ years of experience supporting DevOps, DevSecOps, platform engineering, or software delivery activities.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with Git-based development workflows and source control management.
• Experience developing and maintaining Helm charts and Kubernetes deployment configurations.
• Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes-based environments.
• Understanding of software deployment lifecycles across multiple environments and security domains.
• Experience supporting containerized applications and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with software delivery automation, infrastructure automation, and deployment orchestration.
• Strong scripting or automation experience using Bash, Python, or Go.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Develop automated deployment processes that improve consistency and delivery velocity.
• Manage GitOps workflows, branching strategies, and repository management.
• Deploy, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes-based environments.
• Develop and maintain Helm charts and environment-specific configurations.
• Maintain and improve the software delivery toolchain including security scanning.
• Coordinate deployments across development, integration, test, and operational environments with varying security requirements.
• Work with cyber teams to incorporate security controls and remediation into pipelines.
• Support release packaging, validation, rollback strategies, and operational readiness.
• Investigate and resolve pipeline, deployment, infrastructure, and integration issues.
• Collaborate with software developers, AI/ML engineers, systems engineers, cyber teams, and operations stakeholders.
