Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Mid Software Engineer to design and implement secure, end-to-end cluster and application lifecycles in cloud environments. You will work with Kubernetes or Docker, build CI/CD pipelines, and apply GitOps for automated deployments.

Qualifications

• Secret Clearance or above is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5 years experience developing web-based applications.
• 5 years’ experience with Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience with Agile, Agile XP, DevOps, and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.
• Experience with scripting languages Python, Bash, PowerShell.
• Experience with version control systems like GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Work across multiple technology stacks to support a broad range of applications.
• Develop and implement secure, end-to-end Kubernetes or Docker-based lifecycles.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines with focus on security and automation.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to architect containerized cloud-native applications.
• Apply GitOps principles for automated deployments.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices across the development lifecycle.
• Maintain log management and analytics for monitoring and optimization.
• Develop automation scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Leverage AWS and other cloud platforms for reliability and security.
