DevSecOps Engineer - L2 – Fully Remote | CMS Data Services Hub

Join a mission-driven team supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) as we build and maintain the next generation of secure, scalable, and high-impact cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust DevSecOps pipelines and infrastructure in a dynamic AWS cloud environment.
• Write and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployments, eliminate manual work, and enhance reliability.
• Support CI/CD processes to ensure smooth and secure operations.
• Assist with release management, including documentation, implementation plans, and release notes.
• Collaborate across teams to design resilient systems meeting reliability, scalability, and security standards.
• Identify and mitigate threats to infrastructure, application reliability, or security proactively.
• Apply DevSecOps best practices to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing end-to-end DevSecOps environments.
• Expertise in automating infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services and security hardening in cloud-native setups.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain public trust clearance.
