Location: Ability to work onsite either in Quantico, Virginia or Dayton, Ohio.

Clearance Requirements: Top Secret.

Certification Requirements: IAT II 8140 Certification.

HumanIT is seeking a Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer to support a mission at Quantico, VA or Beavercreek, OH. In this role, you will be supporting and potentially leading operation efforts throughout the complete development cycle. You will be responsible for setting up and managing the development environment, configuring and maintaining cloud services, and managing CI/CD pipelines for the management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) baseline. Candidates will need to have experience working with software development teams, maintaining compliance and security controls, monitoring operations, and improving development processes when needed. You must be highly organized and competent in Agile and DevSecOps principles. Successful candidates will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Position Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

1. Mid-Level Experience in the Following:
2. Experience with commercial or private cloud service providers.
3. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
4. Experience deploying and maintaining highly available fault-tolerant systems at scale.
5. Experience with one or more of the following technologies is preferred: Linux (Redhat or Centos preferred).
6. Working understanding of Agile Methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
7. Effective communication skills verbally and in writing.
8. Experience with change management documentation.
9. Familiar with monitoring and incident response.
10. Experience installing and maintaining government programs in NIPR and SIPR environments.
11. Working understanding of Atlassian Jira and Confluence along with Microsoft Teams.

Desired Skills:

1. Understanding and working knowledge of containerization including the use of Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift or similar services.
2. Experience using scripting languages to automate routine tasks.
3. Experience securing Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA).
4. Exceptional technical writing skills.
5. Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby, Golang or similar scripting languages.
6. Familiarity with database queries and SQL.
7. Understanding of Appian BPM Platform.
8. Use of United States Air Force CloudOne or similar DoD private cloud.

Education: 5 years’ experience with a Bachelor's in a related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. The Bachelor’s degree needs to be in computer science, mathematics, software engineering, or related discipline.
