Job Description:

The Opportunity:

CCI is seeking a Journeyman DevSecOps Engineer focusing on Oracle Databases to support complex IT services and strategic mission systems: Global Adaptive Planning and Collaborative Information Environment (GAP CIE); and Force Survivability Analysis and Management (FSAM). Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle Database architectures tailored to mission-critical applications, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. The work location is Omaha, Nebraska, contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with software engineers to understand and identify critical security areas in Oracle database development.
  • Design, test, and implement secure software development practices to enhance Oracle database security.
  • Automate security controls, data protection, and vulnerability management in deployment pipelines.
  • Apply cybersecurity patches, updates, and support Rogue Blue Software (RBS).
  • Provide PKI and certificate authority services for A&E activities.
  • Support the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES), resolving access issues related to user and group policies.
  • Possess expertise in multiple complex work assignments, demonstrating originality and innovation.
  • Operate with latitude in developing methodologies and solutions.
  • Work rotating shifts as required by mission needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet mission requirements and support USSTRATCOM objectives, including guidance or supervision roles depending on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Oracle DB technologies in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Required 8140 Certification: 641 - Basic; CND; or equivalent degree/training.
  • Preferred certifications include Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or similar.
  • Proficiency in Oracle tools (SQL, PL/SQL), database security, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills, and a collaborative approach.

Pay Range: The salary range is $65,000 - $136,500, influenced by location, experience, skills, education, and certifications. We offer comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, education, and time off. Learn more.
