Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps/DevOps Engineer to join the team in Rockledge, FL, delivering secure and reliable software across the full program lifecycle. You will support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment, container security, and monitoring while strengthening automation and integration capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or Technology or Engineering or Math.
• 8+ years of military experience.
• 8+ years of experience in leading technical teams and designing large-scale distributed systems.
• 8+ years of experience in software testing within IT environments with a focus on mobile apps.
• 8+ years of experience in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD), and scripting languages like Python or Bash (Unix shell).
• 8+ years of experience with version control systems including GitHub, GitLab, SVN, or TFS.

• Develop, maintain, and provide ongoing support for CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable delivery workflows.
• Support automated testing and deployment management while troubleshooting pipeline issues.
• Perform container scanning and support compliance with customer security frameworks.

• 8+ years of experience working with version control systems including GitHub, GitLab, SVN, or TFS

What Sets You Apart

• Master's Degree in Science or Technology or Engineering or Math
• Solid understanding of API testing methodologies for RESTful services
• Familiarity with JSON/XML data formats
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or DB2
• Ability to perform data analysis for troubleshooting issues.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
• Experience with defect tracking tools like Jira or HP ALM
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis
• Excellent debugging skills are essential for identifying issues efficiently.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes including requirements gathering, design review, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Technical support experience in software troubleshooting within complex system environments.
