Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead inspection, testing, and quality management for materials and finished products under QMS. You will drive process improvements, ensure compliance with ISO/AS9100 and related standards, and support audits and certifications.

This role requires strong root-cause analysis, documentation discipline, and collaboration with suppliers and internal teams. On-site in New York.

Qualifications

• Must have AS9100 experience and knowledge of quality systems.
• Strong root-cause analysis and problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance to standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test materials, parts, and products to ensure compliance with QMS.
• Manage quality and configuration of final products prior to delivery.
• Support process improvements, audits, and certification readiness.
• Maintain QMS documentation and procedures; administer root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive quality improvements.

Job description

• The Quality Engineer is responsible for inspection, and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure company-wide compliance with our Total Quality Management System(s).
• Responsible for Quality and Configuration Management of final products before delivery to the customer.
• Responsible for ensuring process improvements, documentation accuracy, and passing third‑party certification audits to maintain client certification and standards
• Maintain and follow quality management solutions for ISO/AS9100, ISO17025, and CMMI standards for external and internal audits (company, system, compliance, and surveillance) of suppliers/vendors, check incoming parts to meet standards, check out‑going products, investigate customer complaints to meet SOW, specifications, and rigorous testing standards
• Achieve quality assurance operational objectives through analysis of project data
• Assist QC Manager with procedures, requirements, corrective actions, and processing problem analysis, as well as administer NCM, preventative/corrective action, MRB, and Quality Management System procedures/requirements.
• Ensure policies, procedures, desk guides, and forms stored on the Proven Process Website are up to date and being complied with by employee
• Administer root‑cause investigation & and analysis, suggest corrective, preventative action processes and system quality improvements via 8D, 5 Why, or fishbone diagram for implementation throughout the organization

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with AS9100
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with NASA standard 8739.4, IPC 620, and J-standard
