Job summary

Acara Solutions is seeking a Test Developer to design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for a demanding CI/CD environment. You will craft automated scenarios from acceptance criteria, write test code, and triage failures, ensuring quality across Android and iOS platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM, required.
• 6+ years of professional or military experience.
• 6+ years leading technical teams or designing large-scale distributed systems.
• 6+ years of software testing in IT with a focus on mobile apps (Android/iOS).
• 6+ years working with GitHub, GitLab, SVN or TFS.

Job Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM.
• 6+ years of professional/military experience.
• 6+ years of experience with leading technical teams or designing large-scale distributed systems.
• 6+ years of experience in software testing within IT environments with a strong focus on mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
• 6+ years of experience working with version control systems including GitHub, GitLab, SVN or TFS.

What Sets You Apart:

• Master’s Degree in a STEM.
• Hands-on expertise in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (BDD), and scripting languages like Python or Bash (Unix shell).
• Solid understanding of API testing methodologies for RESTful services; familiarity with JSON/XML data formats.
• knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB or DB2; ability to perform data analysis skills for troubleshooting issues.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban; experience with defect tracking tools like Jira or HP ALM.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis; excellent debugging skills are essential for identifying issues efficiently.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes including requirements gathering, design review, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Technical support experience related to software troubleshooting within complex system environments.
