AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Software Developer (DevOps)‑Journeyman to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The role requires on-site work at Patuxent River, MD, with a salary range of $115,800.00 to $166,700.00, commensurate with experience.

Remote work is not available for this position. The role supports the Joint Simulation Environment product suite, including training environments, T&E, and R&D activities for DoD agencies and international partners.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or related)
• 3 years of experience as Software/IT/Systems Engineer
• Experience building automated software development environments
• Proficiency with Git
• Proficiency with GitLab CI or Jenkins
• Scripting in Bash, Batch, or Python
• DoD Secret Clearance (required)
• DoD Top Secret Clearance (on onboarding)

Mansioni

• Support DevOps team by building software for an advanced synthetic training environment
• Integrate software into flight simulators for pilot training
• Develop, integrate, and distribute software
• Direct team tasks and manage expectations for deliverables
• Maintain customer/stakeholder satisfaction and report risks
• Communicate status to the DevOps Lead and meet schedules
• Contribute to documentation, briefs, and data calls
• Build and upgrade automated build services on Windows and Linux
• Scale up automated build and test capacity
• Develop tools to improve developer efficiency
• Promote best practices and security posture with IT teams
