AMEWAS is seeking a highly motivated Software Developer (DevOps)-Senior to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The salary range of this position is $170,200.00 - $197,300.00 and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.

The location is Patuxent River, MD. The role emphasizes building, integrating, and sustaining automated build/test environments on Windows and Linux, with DoD security requirements and senior DevOps

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 10 years of software build and scripting experience.
• DoD Secret Clearance (on onboarding: DoD Top Secret Clearance).
• Project Management experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Git configuration management experience.
• Jenkins/Bitbucket/GitLab CI integration.
• Bash and/or Python scripting.
• Security clearance eligibility for DoD contracts.

Responsabilités

• Supports the DevOps Team Lead by developing software for an advanced synthetic training environment.
• Integrates software into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats.
• Supports software development, integration, and distribution.
• Directs team personnel in day-to-day tasking and manages expectations for team deliverables.
• Ensures stakeholder satisfaction and reports risks to leadership.
• Implements and maintains automated build/test services on Windows and Linux.
• Develops tools to improve developer efficiency and collaboration.
