Job summary

AMEWAS, Inc. seeks a Software Developer (DevOps) - Journeyman to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. Salary range $115,800.00 - $166,700.00; on-site work required; DoD security clearances supported. Located Patuxent River, MD, with potential remote/hybrid adjustments per contract.

Responsibilities include DevOps automation, integration with flight simulators, and building scalable test environments on Windows and Linux. Strong C++, Qt and container tooling are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 3 years of experience as a Software, IT, or Systems Engineer with automated environments.
• Proficiency with Git and with GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Scripting in Bash, Batch, and/or Python.
• DoD Secret Clearance and ability to obtain DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required for all clearances.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment.
• Integrate software into flight simulators to support pilot training.
• Support software development, integration, and distribution.
• Lead day-to-day tasking and manage team deliverables.
• Coordinate with DevOps Lead to manage risks and schedules.
• Develop and maintain automated build and test services on Windows and Linux.
• Improve developer efficiency with tools and automation.
• Promote best practices and security posture with IT teams.
