Job summary

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer (DevOps) to support Battlespace Modeling & Simulation. The role requires on-site work in Patuxent River, MD with DoD clearance eligibility and a strong background in C++/Qt, DevOps tooling, and CI pipelines.

You will integrate software into flight simulators, develop automation, and lead DevOps tasks while ensuring security and schedule commitments. The team offers a dynamic, mission-focused environment with government clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field; 10 years software build/scripting exp may qualify
• 10 years of experience as Software/IT/Systems Engineer building automated environments
• Project Management experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Git and CI tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab CI)
• Proficiency in Bash and/or Python
• U.S. DoD Secret and Top Secret clearance eligibility and onboarding clearance required
• U.S. citizenship required for all Clearances

Responsibilities

• Develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment
• Integrate software into flight simulators to support pilot training
• Support software development, integration, and distribution
• Lead day-to-day tasks and manage team deliverables
• Maintain customer satisfaction and report risks to leadership
• Monitor automated build and test services and improve developer efficiency
• Promote best practices and security posture across IT and DevOps teams
