Job summary

AMEWAS is actively seeking a Software Developer (DevOps)-Journeyman to support the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) product suite. You will help build, integrate, and test software for an advanced synthetic training environment used to improve pilot readiness. The role demands strong DevOps practice and cross-team collaboration.

On-site required at Patuxent River, MD with a competitive salary range and full benefits. Security clearances are a core prerequisite for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS or CE; or related Eng/Math/Physics with 3 years of software build experience.
• 3 years of experience as a Software/IT/Systems Engineer building automated development environments.
• Proficiency with Git, GitLab CI or Jenkins, and scripting (Bash, Batch, Python).

Responsibilities

• Develop software for an advanced synthetic training environment and flight simulators.
• Integrate software into flight simulators to support pilot training against threats.
• Maintain automated build/test services on Windows and Linux; scale automation.
• Collaborate with DevOps Lead to manage risks and report status.
