Job summary

Imagineeer, Arlington-based, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation across AWS and Azure. You will drive IaC, container orchestration, and platform security aligned with federal requirements, including patch and vulnerability management.

The role emphasizes remote teamwork, strong scripting, and a Public Trust clearance, partnering with cybersecurity and infra teams to ensure compliant, reliable deployments.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of DevOps engineering experience with strong cloud background.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Proficiency across AWS and Azure.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized apps on EKS.
• Experience with patch and vulnerability management processes.
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash).
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication for distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and Ansible.
• Architect and support cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize container workloads on EKS.
• Automate repetitive tasks to speed deployments and reliability.
• Manage patching and vulnerability management across environments.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infra teams for compliance (NIST, FISMA).
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot infra, pipelines, and deployments.
• Support program management with documentation and deliverables.
