Job summary

Morning Consult is seeking a DevOps Engineer to scale our AI-enabled platform. You will own infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines, influence architecture, and work closely with product and data engineers to ship reliable, secure systems.

You will drive observability, incident response, and cost-efficiency across AWS environments. With 2–4 years of DevOps experience, you’ll bring Terraform or CloudFormation, Kubernetes (nice to have), and a passion for AI-driven automation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience with core services (EC2, EKS or ECS, S3, IAM, networking).
• 2-4 years of DevOps engineering experience, ideally in a small or mid-size company where you've worn several hats.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• A track record of owning projects end to end and explaining technical tradeoffs clearly to engineers outside infrastructure.
• Curiosity about AI and experience using AI tools to speed up infrastructure, debugging or automation work.
• Nice to have: Kubernetes experience.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines so engineering teams can ship safely, often and with confidence
• Bring an infrastructure perspective to architecture decisions early, working alongside engineers rather than at handoff
• Improve observability, alerting and incident response, tracing problems to root cause and sharing what we learn
• Lead defined infrastructure projects from scoping through rollout
• Keep our AWS environment secure, reliable and cost-efficient
• Review teammates' infrastructure code and share what you learn
• Use AI tools in your own infrastructure work, and share what works so the whole team gets faster
