Job summary

Remote People is seeking an Intermediate DevOps Engineer to join a remote-first, globally distributed team. You will focus on reliability, observability, and streamlined build and release processes to empower engineers across time zones.

AI tooling will accelerate automation while you maintain strong judgment and governance. You will collaborate asynchronously, work with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and major CI/CD tools, and contribute to a scalable, secure SaaS platform in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years as a DevOps or SRE Engineer.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Configuration Management.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Experience with containerisation technologies - Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash or Go.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a remote environment - clear written communication, reliable async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Keep platform reliable and scalable, across environments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe, self-service releases.
• Leverage IaC to automate provisioning and management.
• Improve observability tooling with metrics, logs and traces.
• Monitor capacity and performance; forecast resource needs.
• Investigate production incidents and contribute to root cause analysis.
• Support squads in integrating services within platform infrastructure.
• Use AI tools to accelerate automation with validation.
