Job summary

VC5 Consulting in The Woodlands, TX, seeks a DevOps Engineer to modernize the CI/CD platform and migrate deployments to GitHub Actions, improving deployment efficiency for product, data, and enterprise teams.

You will collaborate with development teams, administer GitHub Enterprise, and design reusable workflows while applying best-practices in a cloud-native environment using Terraform and Helm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, Platform/SRE, or related roles.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of GitHub Actions and software delivery practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Linux-based systems; familiarity with IaC tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of applications from Octopus Deploy and TeamCity to GitHub Actions to enhance deployment efficiency.
• Support and maintain self-hosted GitHub Actions runner infrastructure for reliable CI/CD operations.
• Design and develop reusable workflows to streamline software delivery across teams.
• Manage infrastructure-as-code resources using Terraform and Helm to automate deployments.
• Partner with development teams to implement DevOps best practices and improve overall software delivery.
