Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related or relevant field.
7+ years of hands-on experience in Configuration Management.
5+ years in GitHub, CI/CD, Artifactory, build and release engineering, and enterprise software modernization.
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux (csh, bash, Python) and Windows automation.
Knowledge of C, C++, and/or Java.
Experience with ANT, Make, MSBuild, Maven, and application packaging.
DevSecOps experience and modern deployment architectures.
Experience with relational databases, SQL, and stored procedures.
Experience with Agile project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

Lead modernization of legacy development, build, and release processes to GitHub-based CI/CD and automated release workflows.

Analyze and document legacy applications for migration planning and debt reduction.

Job description

Lead modernization of legacy development, build, and release processes from PVCS, ANT, and manual deployment models to GitHub-based source control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated release workflows
Design and implement modern software delivery solutions using GitHub Actions, Artifactory-driven promotion strategies, DevSecOps controls, and standardized deployment frameworks
Analyze, reverse engineer, and document legacy applications and build processes for modernization, migration planning, technical debt reduction, and long-term maintainability
Develop automation solutions using Python, Shell, PowerShell, and related technologies
Partner with development, infrastructure, security, architecture, and operations teams to onboard applications into enterprise GitHub, SonarQube, DevSecOps, and software governance frameworks
Modernize application packaging, deployment, and environment promotion through artifact-driven release management and version-controlled deployment standards
Support migration of legacy user interfaces and applications to modern architectures, including React-based web applications, API enablement, and container-ready deployment models
Promote software quality through automated testing, release validation, code review, security scanning, and continuous improvement of development standards and practices
Assist with development tool upgrades, secrets management improvements, DevSecOps integration, and application platform transformation initiatives
Diagnose application issues and troubleshoot production issues promptly
Collaborate across teams in a dynamic, high-demand environment

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related or relevant field
7+ years of hands-on experience in Configuration Management
5+ years in GitHub, CI/CD, Artifactory, build and release engineering, and enterprise software modernization
Proficiency in UNIX/Linux (csh, bash, Python) and Windows (Batch, CMD, PowerShell) automation, including UNIX shell scripts
Knowledge and experience with C, C++, and/or Java
Experience with ANT, Make, MSBuild, Maven, and application packaging
DevSecOps experience and knowledge of modern deployment architectures
Experience with relational databases, SQL, and stored procedures
Experience with microservices and component-based architectures is a plus
Strong coding, design, and debugging skills
Ability to respond to and troubleshoot production issues promptly as needed
Experience delivering projects in a fast-paced approach
Experience with Agile project management methodologies
Knowledge of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot is a plus
Ability to work onsite four days per week in the Irvine, California office and remotely one day per week
Availability during standard business hours aligned to project and stakeholder needs (8am to 5pm)
