Job summary

Amazon Leo for Government seeks a Device Software Development Engineer to design and implement embedded software for satellite and ground systems. You will work on fault-tolerant, real-time platforms and collaborate with hardware, systems, and product teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.

Role involves onsite work five days a week in multiple US locations with relocation benefits. U.S. citizenship is required for compliance with government requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience on large-scale systems.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for satellite and ground terminal systems.
• Leverage Embedded Linux and RTOS frameworks for scalable, modular software.
• Implement software for data processing, device control, and networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Debug and resolve hardware-software integration issues using analysis tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware-software interaction and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, uphold high software quality.
