Job summary

Batteries Plus Bulbs in Trussville, AL is hiring a motivated Customer Service Advisor to join our team. You will help customers choose batteries, bulbs, and devices, test and repair items, and handle phones and inventory with training provided.

Starting pay is 13.50–14.50 per hour with commissions on top, full-time 38–40 hours per week, 5 days, and health insurance available. No prior experience required; we will train you to become proficient and confident in our products and store operations.

• Tech-savvy with aptitude for phones, devices, and repairs; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting batteries, bulbs, and devices; provide training as needed.
• Replace batteries and test devices as part of repair workflow (training provided).
• Maintain inventory and shelf appearance; upsell additional products.
• Answer phones and support store operations.
• Repair devices and manage shipments when needed.

- Starting pay $13:50 to $14.50 an hour or more depending on experience.

- Plus Easy Monthly Sales & Phone Repair Commission on top of regular pay.

-Pay will increase to $14.50 after WISE certification for device repair is completed. ( 30 day time frame )

- On the job training for workers with little to no experience

- Full 38-40 a week

- 5 days a week

Customer service is our business, and we aim to exceed our customers' expectations by listening, asking questions, researching, and then offering a solution. A successful advisor will identify and offer additional products that meet the needs of our customers. On a daily basis advisors work with smart phones, batteries, bulbs and other products that need to be tested and repaired. Additional duties include answering phones, inventory control, and general store operations.

Sales Associate / Customer Service Duties:

• Assist retail and commercial customers in the purchase of batteries, light bulbs, and other products (training provided)
• Replace batteries in vehicles, watches, key fobs, cell phones, and more (training provided)
• Maintain proper inventory by stocking and facing shelves
• Add on and upsell product
• Maintain store appearance and cleanliness

Tech Duties:

• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices as needed (training provided)
• Receive, pack, and ship devices
• Maintain proper inventory

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION

• Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new processes and technologies with minimal guidance
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments, effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; strong customer service focus; ability to inform, teach, and train
• Working conditions are typical for a retail environment
• This position requires the employee to regularly use hands to handle or touch electronic products. The position also requires the employee to regularly use a computer and other office equipment, as well as tools.
• This position may require lifting up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
