Job summary

Jobtailor in Birdsboro, PA is seeking a packaging operator to support daily production, operate packaging equipment, transfer materials, and uphold safety and quality standards.

You will work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime; basic math and computer skills are required; forklift experience is preferred; manufacturing or chemical plant experience is a plus; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Operate packaging equipment and maintain daily packaging process efficiencies
Transfer raw materials
Transfer finished materials between warehouses
Perform housekeeping
Assist emptying finished product out of industrial dryers
Comply with technical, quality control, product manufacturing, and safety procedures associated with Packaging
Operate equipment for various processing systems
Operate powered industrial trucks
Perform other operator assistance tasks and general duties as needed and assigned

Requirements

• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic math skills
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and physical testing
• Willingness and ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime
• Physical dexterity in climbing stairs, ladders, and performing heavy lifting
• Basic computer knowledge

• Forklift (tow motor) experience preferred
