The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for TWO full time, Developmental, Inventory Management Specialists, (GG-2010-09/11), working at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) – Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), San Antonio, Texas.
This is a development Position - Target GG-09 to 11.
This position may be filled at the GG-09 or G-11 level. Attainment of knowledge, skills, and abilities is required before promotion to the next higher grade and is dependent on demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the next higher grade level, meeting all regulatory requirements, and recommendation for promotion by the supervisor. Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed.
Salary ($62,629 - $98,514) based on experience
Recruitment, Relocation, and Retention incentives may be available based on experience.
Leave accrual for military service may be available.
This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
This position can close at any time.
In this position you will serve as a trainee starting at the GG-09 level and develop into the G-11 level. You will receive formal, informal, and/or on-the-job training and assignments will become progressively more difficult in nature. The position performs a variety of conventional duties relating to a variety of fundamental inventory management and operational program analysis. The person assigned to the position is required to complete developmental assignments and training outlined in a formal training plan.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain & maintain a “Top Secret/SCI” Security clearance
This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position
At a minimum, all groups in this category require either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience for entry.
