Air Force Civilian Service in San Antonio, TX seeks a Full-Time Logistics Management Specialist (GG-0346-12) to support the Cryptologic & Cyber Systems Division at JBSA-Lackland. You will provide lifecycle logistics support for assigned systems, programs, and equipment.

The role requires 6–9 years of experience, U.S. citizenship, ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance, and a focus on acquisition logistics, program coordination, and documentation.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to SCI to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • DAWIA Life Cycle Logistics Level II certification required no later than 24 months after accepting this position.
  • Drug Testing: position designated as Testing Designated Position; employee must pass initial and periodic drug testing.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the focal point for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for assigned systems, programs, and equipment.
  • Prepares and coordinates Life Cycle Management Plan and Life Cycle Verification plan implementation.

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Logistics Management Specialist (GG-0346-12) to work with the Cryptologic & Cyber Systems Division at JBSA-Lackland, San Antonio, TX.

Member will serve as a logistics management specialist within the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division across multiple branches, programs, activities, and diverse mission disciplines. To provide logistics support and establish a viable logistics support posture of acquisition and sustainment of assigned systems, programs, and equipment.

Duties
  • Serves as the focal point for planning, management, and coordination of life cycle logistics support for assigned systems, programs, and equipment.
  • Prepares, manages, monitors, evaluates, and coordinates Life Cycle Management Plan and Life Cycle Verification plan implementation.
  • Serves as the senior technical advisor on documentation requirements.
  • Serves as the senior representative and spokesperson in communicating program matters.

Salary: $90,823 - $118,072

Work Schedule: No telework or remote work

Travel: Up to 25%

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.

Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
  • This position is Acquisition Category L, Life Cycle Logistics Level II, and incumbent must meet appropriate certification requirements IAW the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) no later than 24 months after accepting this position.
  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
  • Must demonstrate sound security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, specifications development techniques, and an understanding of acquisition and maintenance requirements as well as organizational functions involved in logistical support.
  • Knowledge of theories and principles of support planning, development, and execution sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well-structured, and viable program.
  • Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, acquisition, and production.
  • Knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements.
  • Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system acquisition and transfer into operational use; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistics objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan.
