Job summary

YMCA of Columbia is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Development to lead fundraising and philanthropic strategy in Columbia, SC. You will build major gifts, spearhead capital campaigns, and expand donor relations to advance community impact.

The role calls for strategic, hands-on leadership with experience in foundation partnerships, corporate giving, and endowment growth, driving sustainable revenue growth and board engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• 5-8+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience with demonstrated success in major gifts, campaigns and donor development.
• Foundation, corporate and government grant writing expertise.
• Experience building and growing a donor base, ideally in a developing organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee fundraising, development and philanthropic strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth.
• Manage donor relations, coordinate fundraising campaigns and grant management.
• Oversee capital campaigns to support major funding initiatives.
• Develop partnerships with community organizations and foundations.
