The City of San Antonio is seeking an administrative leader to supervise a division within the Development Services Department. This unclassified, at-will position directs Field Services, Plan Review, and Land Development, with office-based duties.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and several years of municipal experience including supervisory responsibilities, along with a Texas driver's license. Work location is the Cliff Morton Center in San Antonio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; five years in municipal customer service with supervisory experience.
• Five (5) years of municipal customer service experience with building plan or zoning review; three years supervisory/administrative.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.

Responsabilités

• Develops administrative and operational plans to ensure the efficient operation of a division.
• Oversees coordination between divisions, departments and contracted agencies throughout duration of assigned special projects.
• Attends meetings with stakeholders, organizations, and associations related to the division.
• Prepares responses for City Council, staff and citizens regarding the division.
• Suggests and implements management solutions to address problems within department, division, or section.
• Monitors and maintains performance metrics for the division.
• Prepares reports relating to Development Services issues.
• Prepares training programs for staff related to customer services affecting the section and department.
• Prepares budget recommendations for the section.
• Serves as liaison to address City Council concerns through assigned staff.
• Coordinates street name changes.
• Serves as departmental representative on committees.
• Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
