Job summary

The Town of Holly Springs is seeking a Development Review Engineer to oversee the review and approval of development plans in the Development Services department. The role provides technical guidance, quality control, and ensures compliance with the Town’s standards and ordinances during preliminary plan and construction drawing review.

Reports to the Engineering Manager and may supervise one or more Development Plan Reviewers.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Six years of progressive engineering and construction experience.
• Engineer Intern (EI) certification.
• Experience with municipal utilities, transportation, stormwater and land disturbance.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee prelim plan and construction drawing reviews to ensure compliance with standards.
• Lead and direct Development Plan Reviewers.
• Coordinate with developers, design professionals and staff.
• Prepare engineering reports for decisions by management or boards.
• Serve on town boards and present to the Boards.
