Job summary

Communities In Schools of Chicago is seeking an Associate Director of Development Operations to strengthen donor data, optimize the CRM, and manage fundraising operations. You will oversee gift processing, reporting, and analytics while enabling the Development team to cultivate and steward donors effectively.

You will also lead donor events, analytics, and collaborations with Finance, collaborating with a high-performing team to maximize impact for Chicago students.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in development operations, fundraising, database management, or related fields.
• Experience with donor CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
• Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage donor database, ensuring accurate, secure, and timely records.
• Lead CRM optimization and support future enhancements.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and donor analyses to inform strategy.
• Oversee gift processing, acknowledgments, and fundraising metrics.
• Support key fundraising initiatives, including campaigns and annual appeal.
• Train team on CRM best practices and data management.
• Conduct donor research to identify new funding opportunities.
• Coordinate data requests and support special projects across departments.
• Lead planning and execution of donor cultivation events.
