Job summary

Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (OTSL) seeks a Manager of Development Operations to strengthen donor data systems and operational processes for the Development Department. You will lead gift processing, reporting, and data quality initiatives to enable accurate donor stewardship and timely revenue recognition.

The role requires strong database management, proficiency with Excel, and comfort with AI/automation.

Qualifications

• Strong, technical database management skills.
• Understanding of nonprofit finance and related reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with donors and prospects.
• Extraordinary attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

• Interest in opera and the performing arts.

Responsibilities

• Gift Processing & Acknowledgement: ensure timely entry of gifts and pledge payments.
• Tax Statements: generate timely tax statements for donors.
• Reporting: manage data requests and ad hoc reports.
• Quality Control & Financial Reconciliation: ensure donor data integrity and revenue reconciliation.
• Data Cleanliness & Documentation: maintain records and SOPs.
• Other: streamline operational processes and donor reporting.
• Secondary Responsibilities: participate in events and meetings.
