Job summary

Careers In Nonprofits is seeking a Development Coordinator on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. The role supports fundraising, operations, donor and grant data, and acts as a bridge between the fundraising team and the data team.

In-person, full-time, temporary-to-permanent with a salary range of $60,000–$75,000 annually. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of admin/ops experience, Salesforce familiarity, and strong data management and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of admin or operations experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the fundraising team and Fundraising Managing Director.
• Maintain donor, prospect, grant, and fundraising information.
• Enter donor updates and notes into Salesforce.
• Communicate with the data team regarding database needs and updates.
• Translate fundraising needs into clear data requests for the team.
• Support data accuracy and integrity of fundraising records.
• Assist with basic Salesforce reporting and troubleshooting.
• Maintain donor, grant, and legacy giving trackers.
• Track donor outreach and follow-up to meet deadlines.
• Assist with donor cultivation activities and materials.
• Prepare donor packets and stewardship materials.
• Conduct donor, prospect, and grant research to find funding opportunities.
• Monitor grant calendars and deadlines.
• Support donor reports and leadership materials.
• Handle development expenses and reimbursements.
• Assist with event logistics and registrations.
• Use project management tools to track tasks.
• Perform general admin tasks and office operations.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor information.
