Job summary

Duke University is hiring a Development & Membership Manager for the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, a hybrid role based in Durham. You will lead membership programs, donor relations, and sponsorship efforts that fund the festival and Center for Documentary Studies.

You will coordinate administrative operations, reporting, and donor communications, while partnering with CDS and university partners to grow engagement and revenue streams for year‑round programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Three years of experience in fundraising, sales and promotions, or nonprofit administration.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities and cultures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience maintaining accurate records, managing databases or CRM systems, and tracking multiple workflows and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to learn Access and SAP-based database tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented team environment.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute Full Frame's membership program.
• Manage membership growth, renewal, and stewardship activities.
• Coordinate benefits and recognition for members and annual giving donors.
• Draft donor and member newsletters, stewardship communications, and fundraising appeals.
• Coordinate donor and member events and stewardship opportunities.
• Track donor engagement and maintain donor records in Duke's CRM and ERP systems.
• Support leadership in developing membership and donor strategies and campaigns.
